Compact filter systems
Many requirements from a wide range of industries, such as wood, plastic, paper, etc., are in the extraction volume range of up to 50,000 m³/h. SPÄNEX meets the diverse, customer-specific requirements in this performance segment with the compact filter series, which gives our sales force the possibility to design the filter systems in such a way that they are optimally tailored to the requirements of our customers.
In addition to the radial fans installed as standard in the fan cells, the extraction fans can also be arranged outside the compact filter systems, usually on the flow side downstream of the filter systems ("vacuum system") or on the raw air side upstream of the filter systems ("overpressure system").
Large filter systems
For extraction systems with an air volume requirement above 50,000 m³/h.

SPÄNEX-compact filter systems
Modular design
Modular design
Each compact filter system usually consists of four modules:
the soundproof fan cell with built-in radial fan
the filter cell with the filter bags and the cleaning device
the container or hopper for material collection and material transfer as well as
the disposal unit.
Safe construction
The individual modules are designed as self-supporting structures and are made of galvanized sheet steel. The canted corner supports and sheet steel sections are bolted together to create pressure-shock-resistant, smooth-walled housings with the necessary stability even under high wind and snow loads. The filter housings comply with fire resistance class EW 90, so that the compact filter systems can be installed close to the building.
Energy-efficient high-performance fans
Either one or more directly driven radial fans with efficiencies of more than 80 % are installed in the fan cells as standard, so that the power requirement is minimized from the start. In conjunction with the standard IE3 (optionally IE4) efficiency class drive motors, a particularly high level of efficiency is achieved.
High suction power
The flow through the compact filters is designed in such a way that the internal resistances are as low as possible. The result of this measure is a high external pressure that is available to overcome the pressure requirements of the extracted processing machines and of the piping system. For the same reason, the pipelines are connected to the compact filters via inlet ducts that are advantageous in terms of flow technology..
Quiet operation
The fan cells are lined with sound insulation mats as standard and each is equipped with a silencer, so that the noise emission is kept at a low level despite the high outputs. Additional external silencers are usually not required.
Effective filtering and cleaning technology
The high separation efficiency of the tested filter material used (dust class M) ensures a minimised residual dust content in the return air, e.g. < 0.1 mg/m³ in the wood sector. The quality and equipment of the filter material are determined depending on the task concerned. The same applies to the cleaning process, whereby a choice is made between mechanical vibration and compressed air cleaning (jet pulse system). Both methods ensure effective and at the same time gentle cleaning of the filter bags, so that long service lives are achieved.
Operating mode
The compact filters can be operated discontinuously (cleaning after certain operating times) or continuously in connection with the compressed air cleaning (Jet Pulse System), whereby the cleaning is time or differential pressure dependent.
Several disposal options
The separated chips and dust, which are collected in a container or hopper, can be transferred via a rotary valve to a big bag, a transport screw or a pneumatic conveyor system. In many cases, a briquetting press is installed below the (buffer) container, the capacity of which is adjusted to the amount of chips/dust.
Intelligent, energy-saving control technology
The intelligent control technology achieves the greatest possible electricity savings. The determining elements are
Speed control of the extraction fan(s) via frequency converter for continuous adaptation of the extraction performance to the respective extraction demand.
Optimised operation of the conveyor system using the material buffering in the containers of the filter system..
Automatic start-up of the briquetting presses depending on the respective material demand.
Automatic start-up of the briquetting presses depending on the respective material volume.
Pre-assembly in the factory
The individual modules of the compact filter series can be completely pre-assembled in the factory so that they only have to be assembled and bolted together on site with the aid of a crane. This results in shorter assembly times on the construction sites.
