Extraction systems generally serve the purpose of collecting chips and dust produced during the machining process, conveying them via a pipework system into a compact dust extractor or filter system, separating the chips and/or dust particles and cleaning the conveying air. The cleaned conveying air is either returned to the working areas (return air) or released into the atmosphere as outgoing air.
For recycling the chips or dust separated in the dust extractors or filter systems, extraction systems can be equipped with briquetting presses or the chips and dust can be transported into containers or silos via a mechanical or pneumatic conveyor system.
Extraction plants are planned and manufactured to meet the individual requirements of the customer, whereby the aspects of functionality, energy efficiency, economy, operational safety and service life are of prime importance.
Compact dust extractors are used in most cases for extraction systems in the capacity range between 1,200 and 10,000 m³/h. By combining dust collectors, systems with an air capacity of up to 40,000 m³/h can also be realised.
For requirements above 10,000 m³/h, filter systems are used (compact filters and large filter systems).
