Bag filters

Survey

Advantages

Bag filters are generally applied, when low material quantities in the form of chips and dust appear compared with the air quantity.

Like dust collectors the bag filter plants can be expanded to compact, energy-efficient disposal stations with installed speed-controlled fans.

  • Large capacity range,
  • integrated exhaust fans with large exhausting capacities,
  • different solutions for material handling and/or buffering,
  • optimal price-performance-ratio by modular design.

Next to the solution with filling bins also buffer containers with bag-filling device via rotary valve and subsequent filling bin and/or big-bag can be applied.

Applications

Application

In practise most frequently plant solutions for air quantities of up to 10.000 m³/h are inquired, in normal case being covered with dust collectors (optimal price-performance-ratio). It should be mentioned at this point that dust collectors can also be installed outdoors (weather-proof execution), when the spacial circumstances do not allow indoor installations.

Only in cases with air quantities > 6.000 m³/h one resorts to the classic bag filter solution (outdoor installed filter plant with filling bins). Caused by the complex return-air system an unfavourable price-performance-ratio is reached when compared with dust collector plants.

In individual cases a container solution with bag filling device via rotary valve instead of filling bins is favoured, as a larger material volume (up to 5 m³) can be buffered during machine processing. Via the discharging unit integrated in the container and the rotary valve the material can be discharged and be filled into plastic bags after finishing machine processing. This variant is often chosen as temporary solution, when a briquetting press shall be applied at a later date.

Bag filter plants often are applied when special material offcuts accrue which can not be mixed with the normal chips, for example intermediate lacquer grinding.

Bag filter units generally are supplied with an integrated exhaust fan (negative pressure system) with mechanical or jet-pulse-cleaning.

Further applications arise during polishing works in the metal branch.

Executions

Standard

As standard the filter units are supplied with two and/or three filling bins. To enlarge the filling volume also special solutions with a larger quantity of filling bins are possible.

The filling bins are connected via a lift-clamping-device to the expansion hopper of the filter unit. For easy handling the filling bins are each equipped with four drive rolls.

The bag filters generally are supplied with an integrated exhaust fan as a compact disposal station.

The cleaning of the filter hoses can selectively be made mechanic via a shaker motor or via compressed-air (jet-pulse).

Special execution

As a further variant the bag filter is supplied with a container or a bag-filling device via rotary valve or manual slide instead of the expansion hopper.

After machine processing the material separated in the container can be filled into the filling bin or the plastic bag. Instead of a plastic bag a big-bag can also be applied.
